Hands-on Art Experience
For the adults. We are all creative. Sometimes we just need a guiding hand. Yahara Bay invites you to make your own 3RD GEAR Bourbon Old Fashioned coaster at their free design workshop. Inspired by the many garnishes that can be found in Wisconsin’s Favorite Cocktail, you’ll work with stamps and ink to “garnish” your own coaster. Then join fellow artists for the Adult Coloring Contest.
Kid’s Yard
For the kids! Little ones can create art of their own. Fun, simple projects include clay sculpture, beading, coloring, painting, and mask making. Projects takes about 20 minutes, and every child goes home with their own masterpiece.
Downtown Paints LIVE
Graffiti art — like any art form — is a necessary tool for bridging cultural gaps and can be used as a positive influence among people of all ages and demographics. Artist C3PO will demonstrate live traditional techniques used in the graffiti art medium. Each step of the process is a crucial part of the finished piece and you’ll be able to witness this transformation, as well as paint on a community wall to test your own skills.
Art in the Wind
Look! Up in the sky! Back by popular demand, Art in the Wind returns to the Downtown Art Fair. Kite enthusiasts don’t stop with flying store-bought kites at their local park. Some of our kiters build their own masterpieces and travel the world to color the sky with their creations.
